Fast foods contain too many calories and little nutrients and if fast foods are a regular component of your diet this can lead to weight problems and ill health. Fast food refers to the food that is prepared quickly, and in most cases it contains too much fat and too much sugar.
When fast food is taken more frequently it end up replacing nutritious food in your diet and this can lead to poor nutrition and health. Fast foods are a good way to save time ,but it is not the proper way for nutrition. Common foods include salted snack foods,
gum, candy, sweet desserts, fried fast food, and carbonated beverages.
Fast food may include chips, hot pies ,pasties, sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, chicken, soups, and salads. It also includes
drinks, for instance, milkshakes, and soft drinks.
Fast food is a driving force behind the global epidemic of diet-related diseases,
setting kids up for a lifetime of health problems.
Fast foods create a higher risk of heart disease because of the
high level of fats found in much of the food. Those
fats can clog the arteries and, over time, contribute to high
cholesterol levels.
People can develop type 2 diabetes, this type of diabetes is often caused by poor lifestyle
choices, such as being overweight and not being physically active.
There is a side effect to consuming frequent amounts of fast food , obesity which can lead to the development of diabetes.
Moreover smoking and drinking too much alcohol, not exercising, and not eating
enough fruits and veggies can lead one into an early grave. People
should include traditional dishes in their diets as they help in ones life for
example President Mugabe usually advices people to love their
traditional dishes as these are keeping him healthy and strong. Your body needs some foods
to stay strong and healthy. Other foods, if
eaten too often, contribute to many illnesses.
